Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Government today said that all Unlock 4 guidelines issued by the Centre will apply to the entire State. The State Disaster Management Authority orders that the regulations and guidelines in the order of MHA would be applicable across Kerala but the strict restrictions will continue in the containment zones. As Unlock 4 allows metro rail to operate in a graded manner, Kochi Metro has announced that it will resume its operations on September 7th, following COVID -19 preventive protocol.
The Kochi Metro Rail Limited had already started sanitation works in the stations as part of resuming the services. As per the MHA guidelines, schools, colleges and coaching institutions will continue to remain closed for students. Accordingly the online classes had resumed in the State after Onam holidays from today.Even as theatres and multiplexes remain shut, open air theatres will open from September 21st. Meanwhile the authorities had urged to remain and follow the strict guidelines, as COVID cases are expected to rise in coming days in the State.Presently the total active COVID cases in Kerala is 21,923.
