Chief Minister Flags Off Ambulances for Pakyong District

New Delhi : Chief Minister Mr Prem Singh Tamang today flagged off ambulances in the presence of MP Rajya Sabha Mr D.T. Lepcha, CSR Head of Oil India Limited, Kolkata, Mr Ajay Kumar Wazir, and representatives of the WE Foundation.

The ambulances, funded by Indian Oil Corporation Limited under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative and facilitated through the efforts of MP Mr D.T. Lepcha, have been handed over to Pakyong District to strengthen healthcare services and improve emergency medical response in the region.

The Chief Minister expressed appreciation for the initiative and emphasised the importance of enhancing healthcare infrastructure, particularly in remote and rural areas. The addition of the ambulances is expected to significantly improve access to timely medical assistance and emergency transportation for residents of the district.

The Chief Minister also conveyed heartfelt gratitude to MP Shri D.T. Lepcha and Indian Oil Corporation Limited for their generous contribution towards the welfare of the people. He noted that the initiative would play a vital role in strengthening the district’s healthcare system and ensuring better health outcomes for the community.

The programme was attended by officials from the district administration, healthcare department, and representatives of the partnering organisations.
