Chennai: Celebrating the spirit of entrepreneurship with zeal, CavinKare jointly with Madras Management Association hosted the 11th edition of the Chinnikrishnan Innovation Awards 2022 in the city today. The annual award property that aims to identify and bring to the fore hidden entrepreneurial gems, recognized, and honored three innovative ventures.
Mr. Alok B Sriram, Senior Managing Director & CEO, DCM Shriram Industries Ltd, New Delhi presided over the event as the Chief Guest along with Mr. CK Ranganathan, Chairman & Managing Director – CavinKare. The winners were also honored with Rs. One Lakh cash reward each by CavinKare in recognition of their impactful contributions.
Established in 2011 in fond memory of the Late Shri R Chinnikrishnan, and to honor his innovations that spearheaded the FMCG industry, the award has honored many small-scale firms for their innovations. Since its inception the award property has recognized 33 enterprising entrepreneurs from across the country. Now in its 11th year, the award property has scaled up the hunt for best of the best entrepreneurs, nationally. CavinKare mentors winners of the innovation awards in marketing, finance, design, packaging, R&D, and HR.
Speaking on the occasion, CK Ranganathan – Chairman & Managing Director of CavinKare Pvt. The call for nominations process received 236 applications from across the country, where the nominees were scrutinized/interviewed under various stringent guidelines streamlined by process advisor E&Y. The distinguished panel of Jury from across the nation for this prestigious award were Mr. Clement Joshua Foulger, Country President & Managing Director, Bharat FIH Ltd, Ms. Shuba Kumar, Managing Director, Natesan Synchrocones Pvt Ltd, Mr. Sendhil Naathan, Managing Director, TANFAC Industries Ltd,
Dr. Shankar M Venugopal, Vice President, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd and Prof. L S Ganesh, Professor (Retd), IIT Madras., Vice Chancellor, ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education.
The following entrepreneurs were awarded the coveted 11th CavinKare-MMA Chinnikrishnan Innovation Awards 2022:
1. Mr Rajith Nair & Mr Prasanth Thankappan of Inntot Technologies Private Limited for their outstanding contribution in Digital Radio Broadcasting with inherent advantage of high-quality Audio for long distance reception and very useful features at affordable cost.
2. Mr Divanshu Kumar of Solinas Integrity Private Limited for outstanding contribution in innovatively designing a septic tank cleaning robot to reduce the human intervention inside the septic tanks.
3. Mr Mansukhbhai Prajapati of Mitticool Clay Creation, as a special recognition of his outstanding contribution in innovatively designing, development and large-scale manufacture of a non-electric, ecofriendly Refrigerator ‘Mitticool’.
