Chips manufactured at CG Semi plant to be exported to Japan, US, Europe says Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw emphasized that chips produced at the Sanand plant will cater to diverse industrial applications and will be exported to global markets, including the United States, Japan, and Europe.

Speaking at the inauguration of  CG Semi’s state-of-the-art Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) plant in Sanand, Gujarat, Mr Vaishnaw announced that India will have five operational semiconductor plants by the end of 2026. Highlighting the rapid progress of the sector, the Minister noted that the Sanand facility transitioned from its ground-breaking ceremony to commercial production in just 27 months.

Mr. Vaishnaw emphasized that chips produced at the Sanand plant will cater to diverse industrial applications and will be exported to global markets, including the United States, Japan, and Europe.
