Choreography of Maitreyee Pahari and melodious singing by Mohit Chauhan set the tone

Bhopal: On the occasion of 66th Foundation Day of the state, the choreography of eminent dancer Sushri Maitreyee Pahari and flawless singing of famous playback singer Shri Mohit Chauhan set the tone in ‘Madhya Pradesh Utsav’ organised at Lal Parade Ground. The programme formally started with the national anthem Jana Gana Mana and Madhya Pradesh anthem. Principal Secretary Culture Shri Sheo Shekhar Shukla presented the outline of the programme while congratulating the people of the state on the foundation day.

The dance-drama performance on the theme of “Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh” by more than 300 artists giving tuneful performance on songs and music under the direction of Delhi’s choreographer Sushri Maitreyee was the centre of attraction. The dance drama presentation based on the roadmap of self-reliant Madhya Pradesh depicted the progress of Madhya Pradesh from the Stone Age to today’s digital age. Artists presented the splendour of the culture of the state in a vibrant style in the digital backdrop made of Maa Narmada River, Bhima Baithka, Ram Mandir Orchha, Mahakal’s Nagri Ujjain and Sandipani Ashram through laser light and colourful lights.

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan congratulated the artists for the impressive performance of the dance drama. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that it is the artists of Madhya Pradesh who have displayed their abilities here. All the artists need the encouragement of the people of the state. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan and Minister Sushri Usha Thakur felicitated Sushri Maitreyee Pahari, who directed the dance drama, and posed for a group picture with the artists.

To convey the message of participation and contribution of the people of the state in the making of “self-reliant Madhya Pradesh”, information was given through interesting stories about the people’s welfare schemes related to farmers, youth, students and women of the state. The musical dance-drama concluded with Stuti to Namami Devi Narmade.

Singer Shri Mohit Chauhan enthralled the gathering with his melodious notes. Shri Mohit and fellow artistes captivated the audience by spreading the magic of their melodious voices on songs like Mae Jo Bhi Kahna Chahu, Barbad Kar Alfaaz Mere, Yeh Dooriyan-In Raho Ki Dooriyan, Masakali and Tum Se Hi…made the audience sway to the rhythm. The concert was conducted by celebrity anchor Aakriti Anand. A large number of public enjoyed the evening of music at Lal Padded Ground.
