Bhopal: A civic function was organized to felicitate Shri Anthony De’sa, a retired IAS officer, for his excellence in his service to the people of India at pastoral centre, Arera colony, Bhopal. Archbishop Leo Cornelio SVD congratulated Anthony De’Sa upon completing the successful tenure and wished him good luck for his future life endeavors.

Archbishop appreciating his special concern for the poor and needy said in his address that there is a man for others, having the virtue of humility and skills in the administration and has been approached by people at any time. He was gentle and kind towards helpless and hopeless excelling the qualities of a human nature. He never compromised the quality in his service to the people. He remained a zealous and visionary placing our country first in his life he said.

Johnny PJ, Principal of BSSS College while sharing his experience with Anthony De’Sa said that he has served the people of Bhopal and M.P. as a skilled administrator. While busy in administrative work, he has taken time to show his writing talent and has written many books depicting his thoughts and experiences receiving much appreciation and honor from the world over. He has played a very important role in administrative development of Madhya Pradesh by holding responsible posts like Chief Secretary of M.P. and various administrative posts in the govt. of Madhya Pradesh as well as Central Govt. he lauded.

The program started with the National Anthem to respect our country on its 72nd Republic day followed by a prayer from Pastor C.P. Singh. Mrs Rosario welcomed all the dignitaries, distinguished guests and the invited representatives of different communities in the program. Mr  O. D. read out the life journey of De’Sa, and his  achievements  during the entire  administrative services.

Later Archbishop and Pastor CP Singh representing Bhopal citizens honored Anthony De’Sa with shawl and memento.

The Program was well attended by the representatives of different religions. The PRO, Maria Stephen thanked all for responding to the invitation to attend the civic program. Later the hymn “Showers of Blessing” was sung by all to wish Shri Anthony to fare well wherever he goes and will be.  Anchoring was done by Ms. Harsha.
