CM Shri Chouhan paid obeisance to Pt. Shriram Sharma on his Jayanti

Bhopal:Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan  paid obeisance to Pandit Shriram Sharma on his Jayanti.Shri Chouhan garlanded Pandit Shri Sharma’s portrait at the auditorium in his residence and paid tributes.

Pandit Shriram Sharma was a learned saint of India who founded the Akhil Vishwa Gayatri Parivar. He dedicated his life for the betterment of the society and for cultural and character upliftment. By synergizing modern and ancient science and religion, he worked to awaken the spiritual consciousness, so that the challenges of the present times could be met.

His personality was a combination of a saint, a spiritualist, a yogi, a philosopher, a psychologist, a writer, a reformer, a sage and a seer.

Pandit Shriram Sharma Acharya was born on 20 September 1911 in Awalkheda village of Agra district in Uttar Pradesh. His inclination towards spiritual practice was apparent in his childhood, when he used to teach small children about adopting culture along with school education sitting under huge mango trees.

About three thousand small booklets of Pandit Shri Ram Sharma Acharya have been published. Through about five thousand lectures, Pandit Shri Ram Sharma Acharya gave his message to crores of people. The message of Pandit Shri Ram Sharma Acharya is broadcast regularly in Shantikunj, Haridwar even today. Gayatri Parivar has assumed a very big form. There are lakhs of followers of Acharya ji in Madhya Pradesh too.

Pandit Shriram Sharma died on 2 June, 1990. In 1991, the Government of India issued a postage stamp in his memory.
