Bengaluru : CMR Institute of Technology (CMRIT) celebrated its 23rd Graduation Day on May 09, 2026, marking a significant milestone for 1,222 graduates from the Class of 2025–26 across engineering and MCA programmes. The ceremony reflected the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and holistic development.
The graduating cohort included high-achieving students who were recognised for their academic distinction, as well as athletes who brought laurels to the institution at national and international levels.
The ceremony commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Sanjay Jain, Principal of CMRIT, who highlighted the institute’s key achievements over the past year. This was followed by the administration of the Graduation Oath to the graduates by the ProVost of CMR University, Dr. Tristha Ramamurthy.
Shri Rishi Pardal, Founder and CEO of Biopeak, attended as the Chief Guest and urged graduates to focus on continuous learning, leadership, and skill development. Reflecting on his three-decade industry journey, he stressed the importance of collaboration, the right mindset, and adapting to challenges such as climate change and AI intervention.
Guest of Honour Dr. K.C. Ramamurthy, IPS (Retd.), former Member of the Rajya Sabha and Chairman of CMR Group of Institutions and CMR University, congratulated the graduates on their accomplishments. He said it is a proud moment for CMRIT as 1222 students graduate this year. He noted that over the past 26 years, the institution has produced successful alumni across the globe and credited this achievement to quality education, research-based learning, and the dedication of its faculty.
The presidential address was delivered by Dr. Sabitha Ramamurthy, Chancellor of CMR University.
The event was graced by Shri Jayadeep K.R. Reddy, Pro Chancellor of CMR University; Sri K.C. Jagantha Reddy, Secretary of CMR Jnanadhara Trust; Dr. B. Narasimha Murthy, Vice Principal of CMRIT; and Dr. Chitra, Dean – Academics and IQAC, along with faculty members and families of the graduates.
The ceremony concluded on a celebratory note, as graduates received their degrees amidst applause from proud families and friends. The occasion marked the beginning of a new chapter, with graduates stepping forward to make meaningful contributions across diverse fields.
