Cocoon Hospital Launches #SilentShift to Spotlight Menopause’s Silent Threat to Women’s Heart

Cocoon Hospital has launched #SilentShift, a nationwide health awareness campaign curated to highlight the silent but crucial impact of menopause on women heart health. The initiative which coincides with the run up to World Heart Day aims to engage women who are beyond the age of 40 years across India, encouraging them to reflect on their health journeys and reduce the critical awareness gaps around cardiovascular risks.

The campaign builds on the legacy of Cocoon Hospital for advancing preventive healthcare and community awareness. Through this campaign Cocoon Hospital aims to ensure critical health conversation to move beyond the healthcare set up and into the mainstream dialogue through collaboration with women across diverse communities. By enabling the women to voice their experiences, Cocoon Hospital also hopes to create a ripple effect of awareness which extends to families and communities.”

The #SilentShift campaign aims to captures women’s awareness, personal experiences and preventive practices related to the health of heart during and after menopause. Highlighting the importance of this initiative Dr. Dilshad Khan, Unit Head, Cocoon Hospital, Jaipur, said: “Menopause is not a reproductive transition, it is also a cardiovascular transition. Unfortunately, many women are also unaware of how this stage silently affects the health of heart, increasing vulnerability to hypertension, stroke and heart disease.
