Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal calls for taking India’s exports to one trillion US Dollar this year

Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal today called for taking India’s exports to one trillion US Dollar this year.  Mr Goyal informed that India’s FTAs now cover over two-thirds of global trade. He made these remarks while releasing the seventh Logistics Ease Across Different States LEADS- 2025 report and 4th ceremony for Logistics Excellence, Advancements and Perform Shiled- LEAPS 2025 in New Delhi. Mr Goyal said that the government has taken reducing logistics costs as an urgent national mission to make India globally competitive. He added that heavy investments are being made in infrastructure and delivery systems to ensure seamless logistics across the country. Mr Goyal highlighted that the country’s growth remains strong, driven by continuous investments across sectors, rapid innovation by startups, and competitive labour costs backed by India’s skilled workforce.

He further said that Indian start-ups are bringing better and more efficient ways of working, further strengthening the country’s economic potential. He said the world is increasingly looking towards India for innovation, research and development and competitive manufacturing and services. The Minister urged all stakeholders to work collectively towards nation building and further strengthening India’s global competitiveness.
