GUWAHATI: The number of people infected with Corona in the Northeast is increasing steadily. The number Covid-19 cases are alarmingly shooting up the North East Region of the Country. The figures for Thursday morning are disturbing. The spread of the virus was low in parts of the country, including the North-East. But after lockdown, this trend has started changing as soon as the country is unlocked (Unlock-1). On Thursday, cases of Kovid-19 in the northeast of the country have increased rapidly.
According to latest report, 1877 cases were reported in Assam and more than 568 cases in Tripura. The Government of India released KOVID-19 data on Thursday as usual. Although the number of infected people in the northeastern states is not very high, but new figures are showing alarming signs. More than 100 cases were reported in Tripura between Wednesday and Thursday. Now there have been a total of 568 cases in this state.
Similarly, in Arunachal Pradesh, the number of positive cases of Kovid-19 has increased from 4 to 48. In Manipur the number has gone up from 78 to 158.Assam and Tripura have the worst conditions in the Northeast. There were 192 new cases. According to the Indian Express, cases in Assam have increased threefold in a week. There were 526 cases on May 25, which has now increased to 1877.
In new cases, 33 have been reported from Hojai district, six from Dhemaji district, four from Bongaigaon district, three from Barpeta district and one from Baksa district. Similarly, 68 cases have been reported in Nagaland, 38 in Meghalaya and 26 in Mizoram.So far, Sikkim was untouched by the corona virus, but a second case of corona virus has been reported in the northeastern state of Sikkim. A person returned from Delhi has been found infected with the corona virus. With this, the number of corona positive cases in the state has increased to two. A senior official of the health department informed about this.
