GUWAHATI : 24 districts of Assam, 13 districts of Arunachal Pradesh and 10 districts of Manipur are causing concern to the Union Health Ministry as these districts are seeing a covid positivity rate of more than 10%. Government officials said senior officials of the Union Health Ministry are in constant touch with the state governments, who are registering positivity of 10 per cent or more. It is a matter of concern. The rate of positivity is showing higher in many districts.
Many states are also registering positivity of more than 20 per cent. Meanwhile, the Centre has distributed 38, 76,870 vaccines to Assam and a total of 3,56,190 doses have been provided to Arunachal Pradesh. Meghalaya gets 5,11,000 doses, Mizoram gets 5,11,000 doses, Nagaland gets 3,63,020 doses, Sikkim gets 3,13,340 doses.According to the data, after testing 64,701 samples a day, these new cases came to light and the rate of people found to be infected was 8.26 per cent.
So far 94,49,818 samples have been tested in the State and assam now has 44,008 cases under treatment. At least 3,254 more people recovered and the number of people who have recovered so far has increased to 2,77,501. The rate of recovery of patients is 85.39 per cent. So far, 33,61,495 people have been vaccinated in Assam, out of which 7,30,846 have been administered both doses. 15,27,170 doses of vaccines have been found. In Assam, the total number of people infected so far in the state has gone up to 3,24,979 after 5,347 new cases of corona virus infection were reported, while the total death toll after 63 more deaths took place to 2,123.
