Court’s decision on Devi Ahilyabai’s properties: CM Chouhan convenes high level meeting

Bhopal: Welcoming the decision of the High Court regarding the properties of Khasgi Trust, Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has described it as a big and significant decision.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has directed the EOW to probe into irregularities of the trust. Apart from this, a separate committee will be set up in the Department of Revenue for maintenance and monitoring of the matters related to these properties and land.  Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed that necessary action should be taken by taking back the property under all circumstances.

Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, Director General of Police Shri Vivek Johri, Additional Chief Secretary Home Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Manish Rastogi, Officer on Special Duty Shri Makarand Deuskar and Director General EOW Shri Rajiv Tandon were present at the meeting.       

EOW probe

After the High Court decision on Khasgi Trust, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said during a high level meeting at Mantralaya today that illegal constructions have been made on the properties of the Khasgi Trust, which have been sold  as well as charges have been made regarding foul play. EOW will now investigate the matter. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the state government will take action against the people, who have sold the properties of the trust illegally. The legal battle will be fought with full force. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the government will make all possible efforts to retrieve the trust properties. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the constructions on the properties of Khasgi Trust should be removed and the properties should be brought back to their original condition. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan issued instructions to start immediate action. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed that a team of Special Police Squad, Revenue should be formed to recover the trust’s properties. It may be noted that Khasgi Trust has 246 properties including 138 temples, 18 Dharamshalas, 34 Ghats, 12 Chhatris, 24 gardens and kunds etc., which are located in different places of the country and the state.

Strict action on fraudulent chit fund companies

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also gave instructions to take strict action against the mafia and the chit fund companies for cheating the public. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that fraud with common people will not be tolerated. Such chit fund companies should be uprooted and strict legal action must be taken against them. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also gave instructions to publicise in this direction, so that people do not get fall prey to such frauds and chit fund companies.

CCTV arrangements must be made in police stations

 Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed the Home Department to adopt a sensitive attitude towards women. Women’s help desks should be monitored. CCTVs should be arranged in police stations and statements of women should be taken under this arrangement. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that strict action will be taken wherever there is negligence in the discharge of duty by any competent officer.

Keep an eye on white collar criminals

 Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that activities of white-collar criminals should be monitored. Strict action should be taken against such criminals.
