The recovery rate of COVID positive cases continues to increase and is currently at 55.48 per cent. A total of two lakh 27 thousand 755 individuals have been cured of the coronavirus.
Health Ministry said, the number of recovered patients has crossed the number of active patients by over 58 thousand. During the last 24 hours, a total of around 14 thousand COVID-19 patients have been cured.
The Ministry said, presently, there are over one lakh 69 thousand active cases and all are under active medical supervision. The testing in the country is also being ramped up. In the last 24 hours, over one lakh 90 thousand samples were tested.
The total number of samples tested so far is over 68 lakh. The Ministry said, the number of government labs that test corona virus has been increased to 722 and private labs has been increased to 259.
