Covid Protocol is mandatory in Navratra & upcoming festivals , says MP govt

Bhopal: In the ensuing festivals and Navratra, the guidelines pertaining to corona, especially the use of masks and social distancing should be followed mandatorily by the general public. Along with the district administration, social, religious organizations as well as organizing committees and traders should take part in this work. This was said by the Minister for Medical Education  Vishwas Sarang in a meeting of the District Crisis Management Committee at Mantralaya today.

Minister  Sarang said that SDM and officers of T.I. level should contact the office bearers of organizing committees of Durga Utsav to hold discussions with them and share necessary information regarding the arrangements. The office bearers of all committees should be told about mandatory use of masks and social distancing.  Attention should be paid to ensure that pandals should be open and public do not have problem in darshan. The ban on Garba and all such other programmes will remain unchanged.

Minister  Sarang said that Ravan Dahan committees should also be informed in this regard. No one will be allowed to immerse the idol at ghat. Arrangement of barricading should be made at all immersion ghats and divers should be arranged for immersion. Boats should not be allowed for immersion anywhere. The immersion work will be done by the administration.  This should also be informed to all the MLAs and public representatives by holding discussions with them.

Minister  Sarang said that the SDM and DSP concerned should constantly discuss with the office bearers of the committees in their respective area. All security arrangements should be made. Police personnel should be deployed for ensuring law and order. Special arrangements should be made for parking and darshan, so that no crowd can be gathered anywhere and social distancing can be followed.

Collector  Avinash Lavania, DIG  Irshad Wali, Commissioner Municipal Corporation  K.V.S. Chowdhary and District Commandant Homeguard  Ramkumar Sharma were also present at the meeting.
