In Tamil Nadu, the total number of Covid-19 infected people has surged past the 25-thousand mark yesterday with 1,286 people testing positive on a single day. Chennai alone reported 1012 new cases taking the total to 17,598 whereas the state tally has gone up to 25,872. 610 patients were discharged from hospitals after being cured while 11 others died of the disease, taking the fatalities to 208.
Meanwhile, the state health department has revised the guidelines on organ transplant surgeries due to the Covid-19 situation.
