Lucknow: South Africa Women’s team has won the third ODI against India by 6 runs via Duckworth-Lewis (D/L) method as rain interrupted the match towards the end on Friday at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

For visitors Lizelle Lee hammered a power-packed unbeaten 132 runs with 16 boundaries and two sixes. With this win South Africa has taken 2-1 lead over Indian women. When the play was stopped, South Africa needed 26 runs in 21 balls. Earlier South Africa restricted India Women to 248 for 5 after winning the toss.

Punam Raut was the top scorer for India with 77 runs. Raut along with Harmanpreet Kaur built a brief 20-run stand before she was picked by Marizanne Kapp in the 34th over.

Haramanpreet Kaur, Deepti Sharma and Mithali contributed 36 runs each. Mandana added 25 runs. Meanwhile, Mithali Raj completed 10,000 runs in international cricket.

The visitors got an early breakthrough as opener Jemimah Rodriguez departed for a duck. Shabnail was the pick of the bowlers, she scalped 2 wickets.
