Pune : Pune-based CureMeAbroad, the AI-led medical tourism platform, is expanding into Australia with a network of experience centres across multiple locations. The first centre opens in Brisbane on 15 October. The company has signed an MoU to anchor the rollout, and it is the first step on a roadmap of more than 40 experience centres across Australia, the US and the UK.

Australia is already one of CureMeAbroad’s key source markets, alongside the US, UK, Germany and the GCC. The centres give Australian patients an in-person place to begin their treatment journey. They combine guided consultations with on-site doctor teleconsultations, so patients can move from questions to a plan in one visit. They plug into CureMeAbroad’s digital engine, giving patients access to 400+ hospital partners across Turkey, Thailand, India, Mexico, Georgia and other destinations, along with the platform’s AI cost estimator and journey planner, with coordinators supporting them on the ground.

The timing is deliberate, because the business is moving forward on every front at once. CureMeAbroad reports revenue growth of 4.4X across Q1 and Q2 and a 17% improvement in margins. It has reached operational profitability and is working towards cash flow positive. It is also adding new treatments, including oncology, neurology, orthopaedics, surrogacy and IVF, and widening its destinations, with Mexico, Vietnam and Indonesia next. These are high-stakes decisions for patients and families, and many will want to meet a real person before they commit. With a medical tourism market of this size, the company sees the experience centres as the natural next step.

“Patients considering treatment abroad often want to sit across a table from a real person before they commit, and that matters even more as we move into areas like oncology, neurology, surrogacy and IVF,” said Aditya Oza, Co-founder and CEO, CureMeAbroad. “Our revenue is growing, our treatments and destinations are expanding, and the market is big. The experience centres bring that trust to our digital platform, and we are starting with Australia.”

“I have known Aditya and Mikhail for a year now, and we have been in talks about starting this for a while. It could not have come at a better time, with CureMeAbroad growing the way it is and adding treatments like oncology, neurology and IVF,” said Joshua Finlay.

After Brisbane, CureMeAbroad will open further centres across Australia and then take the model to the US and the UK, with the aim of more than 40 centres in total. As the centres open, the company will keep adding treatments and destinations, and it is working towards its next milestone of cash flow positive.
