GUWAHATI : Bhupen Goswami: Assam at the First National Open Masters Athletics Championship 2022 held at Badora in Gujarat from June 16 to June 19 at the All India level. Girls Race Queen Deepamani Dekar has brought glory to Assam and the North East by winning a gold medal in the 5000m race. Deepamani Deka, a girl from Udmari village in Darang district, has been a national before, participating in various international competitions,She won a total of 10 (ten) medals from various competitions in the women’s category at the All India Level at the First National Open Masters Athletics Championship2022, which concluded on June 19 in Badroda. The holder player was selected by the Athletics Federation of India and Assam’s girl Deepamani Deka made Assam a record hold in the 5000m race. The North East Sports Association has given the title to gold medal winner Deepamani Deka as Race Queen and Congratulations her.
