Guwahati: Amid border tensions between India and China, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on January 3 inaugurated the Seom bridge and 27 other BRO-completed infrastructure projects in Arunachal Pradesh. The Union Defence Minister dedicated to the nation 28 infrastructure projects worth Rs 724 crore of the 3 Border Roads Organisation (BRO) during an event held at Siom Bridge on The Along-Yinkiong Road in Arunachal Pradesh. Rajnath Singh arrived in Boleng in Arunachal Pradesh’s Siang district and officially inaugurated the important Seom bridge.

Speaking at the function, the Defence Minister stressed on the importance of putting national interests first to maintain the dominance of the country. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today visited Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh for the first time after a clash between Chinese and Indian troops in Tawang sector last month. While inaugurating the projects, without naming any country, he sent a message to China in gestures that the message of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam has gone from the soil of India. “We are worshippers of peace as well as power. In view of the changing world, changing times and changing interests of nations, it is a great need for any nation to keep itself strong. There is a situation of conflict in the world every day. However, India has always been against war, and this has been india’s policy. Prime Minister Modi also reiterated India’s resolve by calling it a time of war and drew the attention of the world towards this resolution. We don’t believe in war.

But if war is imposed on us, we are ready to face every challenge. The spirit and speed with which bro has carried out development works recently is commendable. The plan to connect more and more border areas is in the priority of the government, so that along with the development of the people living there, a sense of confidence in the system can be developed in them. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said the spirit and speed with which the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has carried out development works recently is commendable. The plan to connect more and more border areas is in the priority of the government, so that along with the development of the people living there, a sense of confidence in the system can be developed in them. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also said that when I first saw bro’s name written in short, I thought of it as ‘bro’, which our new generation nowadays uses as ‘brother’. Then I was told that it was bro written, not ‘bro’.

But the way I see the Army growing in tandem with the people of the country, I can say that then I had read bro ‘bro’ and not ‘brother’ wrong, absolutely right. BRO means ‘Bro’ of our armed forces, BRO means ‘Bro’ of our countrymen. “We believe that the North-East region is the gateway not only to the overall development of our country, but also to our reconstruction, trade, travel and tourism along with East Asia. The stronger this eastern part of our country, the stronger our entire country will be. The inauguration of the bridge today by the Defence Minister assumes significance as it gives military advantage in deploying troops in far-flung areas of the Line of Actual Control (LAC). It motivates us even more for the progress of far-flung areas. The event, held on the Along-Yinkiong Road, saw the physical inauguration of the strategically important Seom bridge, while other projects were virtually dedicated to the nation.
