Chennai: According to TeamLease EdTech’s latest insights, the healthcare sector is witnessing a significant hiring surge, with a 47% hiring intent fueled by advancements in telehealth and a growing focus on preventive care services. Cities such as Delhi and Chennai are driving this trend, showcasing the highest demand for critical roles, including Research Associates, and Brand Management Trainees.

Delhi (65%), Bangalore (56%) and Ahmedabad (48%) have emerged as key hubs for Research Associate roles, which involve conducting medical research, supporting clinical trials, and managing data. Brand Management Trainees who focus on marketing and strategic initiatives are in high demand in Chennai (57%), Delhi (53%), and Coimbatore (45%). Nursing Assistants, who play a crucial role in patient care, are in demand across Hyderabad (54%), Chandigarh (49%), and Gurugram (43%). Medical Laboratory Technicians responsible for operating diagnostic equipment and conducting tests are seeing strong hiring momentum in Mumbai (51%), Hyderabad (47%), and Indore (40%).
Employers are seeking candidates with robust technical expertise in lab techniques, diagnostic testing, and clinical trial management, along with core skills in patient care and data analysis. Soft skills such as communication, empathy, attention to detail, and adaptability are also highly valued. Certifications like Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification are increasingly critical for securing roles in this expanding sector.
