Haflong: Reminding the Railway Minster for immediate redressal of public grievances, the All Dimasa Students Union, Maibang Zonal Committee in collaboration with Dimasa Women Association, Dishru cultural club, Dimasa Students Union, Dima Hasao District Committee staged dharna at Railway over bridge at Maibang Today.
Later they have submitted memorandum the Union Railway Minister Sri Piyush Goel through the Sub- Divisional Officer (Civil) Maibang. They while reminding their demands since 14 March 2015 were put forward to the then Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu but the Railway authority has utterly failed to address till date. As a result of which people have lost confidence in Railway Ministry holding responsible for the loss several human lives in run over at Maibang Station.
They have also given ultimatum stating that if the railway fails to fix their problems within December 10, they would launch a rigorous democratic agitation throughout the district for which the Railway authority would be held responsible for any consequences. .
