Sivasagar :A special initiative has been taken to issue caste certificates to facilitate admission of students and other allied educational and career issues under The Mission Bhumi Son of the Government of Assam. For this purpose Sivasagar District Collector Aditya Vikram Yadav distributed their caste certificates to the students at the local Betbari Higher Secondary School in the presence of Inspector of Schools Kamaljyoti Gogoi.
Similarly district development commissioner Shovon Gowala distributed the certificate to Banmukh Higher Secondary School. During this certificate distribution ceremony, additional deputy commissioners of the district, sub-divisional magistrate of Nazira sub-division, circle officers, attached circle officers, assistant commissioners, election officers, block development officers distributed caste certificates in the schools designated to them. It is to be noted that a total of 4429 caste certificate applications were received and out of these 4215 certificates were approved. Certificates are distributed to 20 schools by the executive magistrates of the district and the remaining certificates are submitted to the inspector of schools. So that through him the certificate can be handed over to the headmaster of the school.
