Mumbai: Damodar Ropeways and Infra Ltd (DRIL), the largest player in the Indian ropeway industry, organised a massive Independence Day celebration to pay respect to the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative, which took place to commemorate the 75th year of Indian Independence Day.
Acknowledging the campaign of Har Ghar Tiranga, DRIL hoisted the national Tricolour flag at different locations such as Satna, Gangtok, Manipur, Chitrakoot, Pushkar and all other sites across India.
The key members of the DRIL organisation were present on the occasions and gave tribute to the historic Independence freedom struggles and saluted the sacrifices of heroic freedom fighters. DRIL also celebrated PM Modi’s call for ‘AtmaNirbhar Bharat’, which means self-reliance is the key to achieving real economic freedom and strengthening the development of the nation.
DRIL is a big success story in terms of the AtmaNirbhar Bharat and Make In India campaign and has been building the nation since 1974. It has been at the forefront in the ropeway industry in both the Indian and international markets.
Aditya Chamaria, Managing Director, DRIL, said, “We organised a memorable Independence Day celebration to salute the brave hearts and heroes of India’s modern history and Independence Day struggle. Through the initiative, we attempted to endorse the message of AtmaNirbhar Bharat because a country truly attains freedom and is free of any kind of enslavement when it is truly self-reliant in economic, political and social terms. It was done under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.”
