Guwahati : A mild intensity earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale today jolted the state. The tremors were felt at around 8:01 pm, yesterday.
The epicenter of the quake is said to be at East Garo hills in Meghalaya.No damage or casualties have been reported so far.The tremor was felt in six northern districts of West Bengal as well as the metropolis and its surrounding districts, officials said. There were no reports of loss to life or damage to property till the report was filed.
