Election trends: BJP leading in Assam, West Bengal; TVK giving tough fight in Tamil Nadu

Trends have started coming in from all four states and the Puducherry union territory, which went to the polls.

As per early trends, BJP has taken a surprise lead in West Bengal while, in Tamil Nadu new entrant Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) led by actor C. Joseph Vijay is running neck to neck with opposition AIADMK.

In Keralam, Congress led UDF has secured a comfortable lead while, the ruling BJP has secured a big lead in Assam. 

In Assam, BJP is leading in 60 seats of the 95 constituencies for which trends are available. Congress is leading in 16 seats, AGP in 07 seats, and others are leading in 13 seats. 

In West Bengal BJP has taken in early lead in 75 seats out of the 120 constituencies for which trends are available. Ruling Trinamool Congress is leading in 40 seats while Congress is in the lead in 02 constituencies. 

In Keralam trends are available for 115 seats. Congress has taken early lead in 52 constituencies, State’s ruling CPM in 24 seats, and its allies CPI 05 seats , RSP 02. Kerala Congress is leading in 04, BJP in 04 seats.

  In Tamil Nadu trends are available for 101 seats; ruling DMK is leading in 19 while TVK leading in 40 and AIADMK is leading in 35 seats. Congress is leading in 03 and Others in 05 constituency.

In Puducherry trends are available for 08 seats. AINRC is leading in 03 seats while AIADMK, BJP, DMK, Congress and Others are leading in 01 each.
