Emmy Award-Winning WCVB Anchor Erika Tarantal to Emcee the Sunshine Soiree on June 4 at Wychmere Beach Club
HARWICH PORT, MA – There is less than a month to go, and tickets are available now. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Commonwealth Real Estate and Robert Paul Properties are hosting the 2026 Sunshine Soirée on Thursday, June 4, at 6:00 PM at the Wychmere Beach Club in Harwich Port, benefiting the Sunshine Kids Foundation. Every seat sold means more children with cancer get to experience something extraordinary.
The Sunshine Soirée benefits the Sunshine Kids Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing emotional support and group activities to children fighting cancer. The Foundation’s work gives kids a chance to just be kids — laughing, connecting, and experiencing moments of joy in the middle of the fight of their lives. This event is how we help make that possible.
Hosting the evening is Erika Tarantal, Emmy Award-winning anchor and reporter for WCVB NewsCenter 5 in Boston. A familiar and trusted voice across New England, Tarantal co-anchors the NewsCenter 5 at 5 PM and 5:30 PM and contributes to Chronicle and the station’s “5 For Good” series. Her national Gracie Award-winning reporting on community-driven generosity makes her a natural fit for an evening built around exactly that.
The evening is packed from start to finish. Guests will enjoy live music by the Mark Greel Band, an open bar with handcrafted cocktails, a full dinner and dessert, and dancing against the backdrop of Nantucket Sound. But the moment that stops the room is hearing directly from a Sunshine Kid — a child whose personal story puts the entire evening in perspective and reminds everyone exactly why they came.
The live and silent auction adds another layer of excitement to the night. In the live auction, guests can bid on exceptional travel experiences including: the Taste of Tuscany — a seven-night stay in a private countryside villa with chef-prepared breakfasts, a hands-on cooking experience, and curated wine tastings — or the Stowe Mountain Escape, a refined Vermont getaway featuring a luxury resort stay, a private pickleball experience, and a curated food or beverage tour of your choice — all in support of the Sunshine Kids Foundation.
“The Sunshine Soirée is one of the most meaningful evenings we host each year. It gives our company and our community the chance to come together for an incredible cause — and having Erika Tarantal with us this year makes it even more special. We are grateful to everyone who shows up for these kids,” said George Patsio, Managing Partner, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Commonwealth Real Estate and Robert Paul Properties.
