GURUGRAM: Esskay Hairdressing School, under the aegis of Esskay Beauty Resources Private Limited, today announced the winners of its “Sapno Ka Aaina,” a CSR initiative aimed to give a stepping stone in the lives of aspiring hairdressers. From over 8,670 applications received nationwide, 12 passionate young individuals were selected for the first batch & announced today on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. The chosen few will receive completely free professional hairdressing education training as part of the company’s “Care for Smile” program, embodying the spirit of knowledge sharing that Teacher’s Day celebrates.
The selected winners represent diverse backgrounds from across India, unified by their passion for hairdressing and determination to build careers in the hair industry despite financial constraints. The response to the initiative was overwhelming, with applications pouring in from PAN India within the short registration window that started on August 25 & closed on September 4, 2025.
Ankit Virmani, Director of Esskay Beauty Resources, stated: “Today, on Teacher’s Day, we celebrate not just the winners of ‘Sapno Ka Aaina,’ but the beautiful tradition of knowledge sharing that transforms lives. These young individuals came to us with dreams, and we are honored to have been given the chance to become the teachers who will help nurture their talents. Their stories of passion despite challenges remind us why economic circumstances should never limit education.”
Adding to this, Subham Virmani, Director of Esskay Beauty Resources, commented: “The caliber of students who sent us their applications is extraordinary. Each winner carries an undying passion for hairdressing and a clear vision for how this skill can transform their lives and benefit their communities. We are excited to welcome them into the Esskay family and witness their journey from dreamers to skilled professionals.”
Salman Rajput, one of the winners, shared, “When I heard about ‘Sapno Ka Aaina,’ I felt someone finally saw my dreams. During the lockdown, my family’s problems forced me to give up my passion, and as the eldest son, I thought professional hairdressing training was out of reach. This chance is more than just learning a skill—it shows me and my family that our dreams can really come true.”
The announcement on Teacher’s Day holds special meaning, honoring Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s belief that education is the most powerful tool for transformation. The “Sapno Ka Aaina” initiative embodies the guru-shishya tradition, where knowledge is shared without barriers, and dreams are nurtured through mentorship.
