In Assam, there has been no respite from the flood fury as several rivers are continuously flowing above the danger level. 13 lakh people have been affected due to the current wave of floods in 25 districts. Barpeta, South Salmara, Goalpara, Nalbari and Morigaon are among the worst affected districts. 24 persons have lost their lives due to floods. Apart from floods, land erosion has also been reported at many places.
