In Jammu and Kashmir, at least four Army personnel, including a Major, have been martyred in an encounter with terrorists in Pulwama district.
Security sources said, a cordon and search operation was launched by a joint team of the forces in Pinglina area in the wee hours following inputs about the presence of terrorists there.
As the forces zeroed in, the hiding terrorists fired upon the forces triggering a gunfight. The sources said, two to three terrorists are believed to be trapped in the area, and they could be Jaish-e-Mohammed cadres. The gunfight was on, when reports last came in.
