Mumbai: Sanya Malik, Founder of Black Cube Gallery presents a selection of works by modern masters and contemporary voices across generations, from Krishen Khanna and Thota Vaikuntam to emerging artists Yashika Sugandh and sculptor Gaurab Das.

The exhibition features works by Krishen Khanna, Thota Vaikuntam, Mahendra Kadia, Ompal Sansanwal, Sudhanshu Sutar, Meena Sansanwal, Phaneendra Nath Chaturvedi, Gaurab Das, Yashika Sugandh and Paul Kuntze.

Spanning painting and sculpture, this presentation explores material, form and narrative. From Krishen Khanna’s figurative works and Thota Vaikuntam’s contemporary figurative paintings to Mahendra Kadia’s explorations of emotional and psychological conflicts, Ompal Sansanwal’s labyrinth-like maze of colours, and Sudhanshu Sutar’s rural psychological imagery, the exhibition brings together diverse artistic practices. Meena Sansanwal’s bright colours and patterns, Phaneendra Nath Chaturvedi’s anthropomorphic beings, Gaurab Das’s sculptures in bronze, wood and stone, Yashika Sugandh’s meditative, nature-inspired works, and Paul Kuntze’s contemporary reinterpretation of Baroque frescoes further explore themes of culture, nature, human existence and imagination.
