Hyderabad: FTCCI President Meela Jayadev, Sr Vice President Suresh Kumar Singhal, Vice President R Ravi Kumar Along with Chair of IT & BR Committee Chakravarthy AVPS, Gautam Chand Jain MD Pokarna Engineered Stone Limited called on the Honorable Consul General of UAE Mr Aaref Alnuaimi on Wednesday at its newly inaugurated office at Road No. 10 Banajara Hills.
It was a courtesy meeting. We got to know each other. The FTCCI delegation also felicitated him and shared Meela Jayadev in a press note issued in the city today. We have also discussed matters of mutual interest and bilateral trade and relationship.
Our ties with the UAE go a long way. Both countries share long-lasting cultural ties in terms of art, culture and education. Over 3 million Indians live in the UAE currently, Meela Jayadev added.
The FTCCI delegation also invited the Honorable Consul General to visit the FTCCI office.
The new UAE consulate became operational this year. It is the second such office in southern India. It is a well-known fact that there is a huge demand for visas from well-known South India to travel to the UAE. Many people from Telangana travel to the UAE for work. So also many UAE citizens travel to Hyderabad for medical and educational reasons. Hence, we need to have more stronger ties, added Mr. Meela Jayadev.
The Relations between both nations received a major boost because of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement.
The Honorable Consul General of UAE Mr. Aaref Alnuaimi also praised the efforts of the FTCCI. He urged the FTCCI team to plan a business delegation to the UAE to explore business opportunities.
