Godrej Agrovet opens new Samadhan Center for oil palm farmers in Andhra Pradesh

Vijayawada:  Godrej Agrovet’s Oil Palm business announced an opening of a new Samadhan center in Ch.Pothepalli, Andhra Pradesh. Inaugurated by Burjis Godrej, Executive Director, Godrej Agrovet Ltd, this is company’s 6th Samadhan Center and will be located at the company’s first mill at Ch.Pothepalli, which has been important pillar of the business’ operations and providing employment opportunities for the past two decades.

Samadhan is a one stop solution center which provides a comprehensive package of knowledge, tools, services and solutions to oil palm farmers. The centers aim to be a critical enabler in Palm Oil industry and assist oil palm farmers in optimising their yields by adopting latest agricultural techniques and boosting their productivity. By expanding its network of Samadhan centers, the company intends to focus on providing knowledge and access to contemporary technologies to oil palm farmers thereby enabling them to make informed decisions about venturing into oil palm cultivation and enabling sustained growth in their income.

Commenting on the inauguration of the new Samadhan center, Burjis Godrej, Executive Director, Godrej Agrovet Ltd said, “At Godrej Agrovet, it is our endeavour to uplift Indian farmers by empowering them with the right information and easy to use solutions. Each Samadhan center intends to support the planting of ~2,000 hectares of oil palm and help farmers achieve a sustained productivity in mature gardens through the use of modern agricultural technologies and expert advice. Having touched the lives of farmers in the states of Andhra Pradesh & Telangana through 6 Samadhan Centers till date, Godrej Agrovet intends to establish 50 Samadhan centers by 2027.
