GUWAHATI : Tension continues along the border between India and China. China tried to infiltrate into the Indian territory for the last 20 days, which was foiled due to the promptness of the Indian Army’s boxers. For India, 2020 was probably the toughest year of its recent history. The new year also continues to be China’s challenge, which has taken an aggressive stand on the border. That is why the armies of the two countries are facing a terrible winter in Ladakh. On the other hand, in the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, union Minister Kiren Rijiju has taken stock of the border works in the Indo-China border area and Arunachal Pradesh. Rijiju reviews the situation along the Indo-China border with top officials.

Talking to reporters, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said, the Home Ministry has sanctioned Rs 12,434.90 crore to expedite construction of 32 roads along the Indo-China border under Phase-II. He said the Government of India has made a big plan to hit China. The proposal was carried forward in view of the stalemate with China in eastern Ladakh. The construction work on phase-II and phase-III was halted due to delay in issues of safety, environment clearance and land acquisition. Border Roads Organisation, Central Public Works Department and Indo-Tibetan Border Police have been deployed to carry out the construction work. Roads connecting border outposts would come in Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Additional 50 roads have been proposed for phase-III with road connectivity between three phases. BRO has been entrusted with the task of completing 61 border roads and work on 29 such projects has been completed. Union Minister Rijiju also informed that the pit Jawans continuously monitor 3,488 km of the Indo-China border and operate 180 outposts at an altitude ranging from 9,000 feet in western, central and eastern sectors of the Indo-China border to 9,000 feet to 18,750 feet from 9,000 feet to Jakhap La in Arunachal Pradesh.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, while tying a bridge of dates to the ruling government, said that the defects of the previous governments are being removed as they have taken stock of the border works in the border state of Arunachal Pradesh. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju is reviewing the ongoing border works in the state in Arunachal Pradesh. Kiren Rijiju has also interacted with local people living in the areas of Gallmo, Bidak, Maja, Taksing and Limking while inspecting the border works in Arunachal Pradesh. He said the Narendra Modi government is committed to develop all border areas. However, people are the sentinel of our country. Kiren Rijiju said that the Narendra Modi government is developing border areas and securing every inch of our motherland. Let us unite to strengthen India. I salute the BRO, the security forces and the people living in the difficult border areas. The ruling BJP government at the centre has been accusing the previous Congress governments of not giving due importance in constructing roads along the borders of the country. The government is accusing the governments of the past of not giving due importance in building roads along the borders of the country, thus allowing expansionist forces like China to infiltrate the borders and build their own settlements in Indian territory. Have interacted with some further places in Arunachal Pradesh and ITBP Jawans. However, the eastern and western fronts are trying to disturb India in tandem with Pakistan. There is no other way to hit India directly with this challenge. The 2021 decisive year will be in terms of how tough India takes a stand towards China. It is in its interest that India is on its own in strategic matters. The confrontation with China has made it clear. With this, he will also have to prepare traditional and strategic debts so that China is afraid to make such presumptuousness.
