Greaves Cotton appoints Vinay Pawar as Group Chief Technology Officer to drive technology-led growth

Mumbai : Greaves Cotton Limited, one of India’s leading diversified engineering companies, today announced the appointment of Vinay Pawar as its Group Chief Technology Officer (GCTO), effective May 4, 2026. He will be based in Pune.

In his role, Vinay will shape and drive the Group’s technology vision, accelerate product and platform innovation, strengthen digital and future-ready capabilities, and support Greaves Cotton’s long-term growth and transformation agenda. He will lead the efforts on building new-age businesses, including E-powertrain and future mobility solutions.

Vinay brings with him nearly three decades of rich experience across automotive electronics, industrial automation, connected mobility, embedded systems, and emerging mobility technologies. Prior to joining Greaves Cotton, he was associated with the Spark Minda Group, where he held multiple senior leadership roles, including Business Head and CTO-level responsibilities. Earlier in his career, Vinay has worked with leading global organizations such as KPIT Technologies, Continental Automotive, Bosch, and ABB, contributing to the development of cutting-edge solutions, building strong engineering teams, and managing complex global programs across India and Europe.

Vinay holds a degree in Instrumentation Engineering, an MBA in Technology Management, and advanced qualifications in AI/ML.
