In Gujarat, 492 new Coronavirus cases were reported in the last 24 hours which is the highest so far in a day. With this, the total number of cases rose to 18,601 yesterday. The State Health Department said that 33 more patients succumbed to the disease, taking the toll to 1,155 in the state.
As many as 455 patients discharged from different hospitals in the state yesterday. So far, 12,667 patients have recovered from COVID-19 in the state. At present, 4,770 patients are under treatment for COVID-19 across the state. As the number of cases continue to surge in Ahmedabad, city Municipal Corporation has declared micro containment zones to effectively curb the spread of Coronavirus.
On the occasion of World Environment Day, the AMC has aimed to distribute over five lakh Tulsi saplings to the residents. Tulsi has proved effective in boosting immunity during the COVID-19 pandemic.
