Kokrajhar: Noted author, educationist and former president of Bodo Sahitya Sabha Padmashri (Dr) Kameswar Brahma have been named for 3rd Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma Award-2021.
In a press statement, secretary of Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma Trust (GKB), Dr Ajit Boro informed that the trust has decided to confer the award to Dr Brahma for his contribution towards the development of philosophy of Gurudev in particular and all round development of the society as a whole.
The award in the form of Gurudev’s photo ad Rs. 50,000/- (fifty thousand) will be presented to the awardee at a programme to be held at Gauhati University on 18th April 2021 on the occasion of 162nd birth anniversary of Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma.
Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) chief executive member Pramod Boro and Dr. Pratap Jyoti Handique, vice chancellor of Gauhati University are attending as guests.
