GUWAHATI FRONTIER BSF SEIZED 23436 NOs SUKHI TABLETS,162 NOs CATTLE HEADS AND RESCUED 192 NOs CATTLE HEADS

GUWAHATI : In operations, troops of Border Security Force under Guwahati Frontier seized 23436 Nos Sukhi tablets and rescued 192 cattle heads from the bordering areas of District Coochbehar (West Bengal) , Dhubri & South Salamat (Assam) On intervening night of 06/07 Sept’ 2020. Acting on tip off, on 6 th Sept’ 2020, troops of BSF BOP Sitai of 100 Bn BSF under Guwahati Frontier carried out a special operation in general area of village Kaiterbari, PS- Sitai, Distt- Coochbehar (WB) and seized 23436 Nos Sukhi tablets, while the consignment was trying to be smuggled from Bangladesh to India.
Seized Sukhi tablets have been handed over to Police Station Sitai, Distt- Coochbehar (WB) for further disposal. Besides above, vigilant Seema Prahari of BSF have also rescued 192 Nos cattle heads in various other operations from bordering areas of Distt Coochbehar (WB), Dhubri & South Salamara (Assam) while the same were being smuggled from India to Bangladesh. BSF troops are always alert towards the issues of trans-border crimes and illegal infiltration and are making all endeavours to contain such trans-border crimes.
On other Hands In different operations, troops of Border Security Force under Guwahati Frontier apprehended two Indian smugglers and rescued 162 cattle heads from the bordering areas of District Coochbehar (West Bengal) , Dhubri & South Salamat (Assam) On intervening nightActing on tip off, on 06th Sept 2020, troops of BSF BOP Balabhut of 62 Bn BSF under Guwahati Frontier carried out a special operation in general area of village Balabhut, PS- Sahebganj, Distt- Coochbehar (WB) and apprehended an Indian cattle smuggler along with 25 cattle heads, while these were being smuggled from India to Bangladesh.
Apprehended cattle smuggler identified as Maqbul Hussain (33 Yrs), S/o Abdul Aziz, R/o Begdohar, PS- Sukhchar, Distt- Dhubri (Assam). Apprehended cattle smuggler along with cattle heads have been handed over to Police Station Toofanganj, Distt- Coochbehar (WB) for further legal action. In second operation, Acting on tip off, on intervening night of 5/6 Sept 2020, troops of BSF of BOP Madhy Balabhut of 62 Bn BSF under Guwahati Frontier carried out a special operation in general area of village Madhy Balabhut, PS- Sahebganj, Distt- Coochbehar (WB) and apprehended an Indian cattle smuggler along with 25 cattle heads, while these were being smuggled from India to Bangladesh.
Apprehended cattle smuggler identified as Sahad Ali (37 Yrs), S/o Noor Mohammad, R/o Berbanga, PS Sukhchar, Distt- Dhubri (Assam). Apprehended cattle smuggler along with cattle heads have been handed over to Police Station Toofanganj, Distt- Coochbehar (WB) for further legal action. Besides above, vigilant Seema Prahari of BSF have also rescued 112 Nos cattle heads in various other operations from bordering areas of Distt Coochbehar (WB), Dhubri & South Salamara (Assam) while the same were being smuggled from India to Bangladesh. BSF troops are always alert towards the issues of trans-border crimes and illegal infiltration and are making all endeavours to contain such trans-border crimes.
