Guwahati University NSS volunteer gearing up for Covid 19, helpline poster launched

GUWAHATI : Gauhati University campus NSS volunteers taking initiative for Covid 19 helpline for helping to the needy people in this pandemic time. The volunteers will mainly cover by helping people providing information about availability of Hospital beds, both ICU and normal beds, Ambulance services, Blood information, consultation numbers of doctors for Mental health, both paid and free, information about grocery stores, food delivery for Covid positive patients, contact nos for Covid home testing services and sanitization as well. Launching the helpline posters through webinar today on 3 rd june, Dr. Kottu Sekhar, Regional Director(i/c), Rajib Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD),Govt. of India, Arunachal Pradesh congratulated the NSS volunteers,

Programme Officers and NSS Coordinator for coming forward to help people in this pandemic situation. Dr. Sekhar also said that volunteering service in this situation is very tough and youths have a big role to be played for combating Covid 19. Attending the programme Dr. Ranjan Kr Kakati, Director, Students’ Welfare & Programme Coordinator, NSS, Gauhati University appreciated their confidence and community service of the volunteers. Such type of campaign will definitely help needy people and if everybody join hands one day we will definitely defeat Covid-19.
