Kochi: Harrisons Malayalam Limited (HML) has been conferred with the ‘National Award for Outstanding Industrial Relations’ for the year 2020-21 by All India Organization of Employers (AIOE) an allied body of FICCI, for its excellence in Industrial Relations.
Ms. Arti Ahuja IAS, Secretary Labour & Employment, Government of India presented the award to HML. Shri Aneesh B S, Manager HR & Shri Bijo Manual Vettom Deputy Personnel Manager received the award on behalf of HML at the Annual General Meeting of AIOE held on December 27, 2022 in Federation House, Delhi.
All India Organizations of Employers (AIOE) is an allied body of FICCI which has been serving the cause of Indian enterprises by promoting sound industrial relations and better understanding between employers and workers on the mutuality of interest. This Award is awarded to the companies, who have given innovative approaches to foster harmonious industrial relations through bipartite mechanism, reducing conflicts, loss of mandays, promoting employers’ welfare and development avenues, contributing to higher motivation, moral and productivity improvement.
As part of the competition, HML competed with 10 organizations ( Both Private and Public Sector) in the Southern Region and was shortlisted for final presentation. Finally the National level presentation round was held on December 27, 2022 at Federation House Delhi, with fourteen finalists. The Jury members comprising of famous and respected personalities in the field of Labour and Industrial Relations like Shri.Onkar Sharma, Member Secretary – Prime Minister’s Sectoral Innovation Council on Labour Laws
Ministry of Labour and Employment, Dr Rajen Mehothra,Former Senior Specialist of Employers’ Activities of South Asian Region with International Labour Organization (ILO)and Shri.Virjesh Upadhyay, Chairman Dattopant Thengadi National Board of Workers Education. The award recognizes such organizations across the country that have outstanding industrial relations.
