Heritage Institute of Technology and The Heritage Academy Welcome Freshers with a Four-Day Induction Programme Focused on Holistic Development
Kolkata : Heritage Institute of Technology (HIT), in association with The Heritage Academy (THA), successfully organised a comprehensive four-day Induction Programme for the newly admitted students of BBA, BCA, Media Science and Cyber Security, offering them a holistic introduction to campus life, academic excellence and personal growth.
The programme was designed to help students transition smoothly into higher education while acquainting them with the values, culture and ethos of the Heritage institutions. Through a thoughtfully curated series of expert-led sessions, students were encouraged to look beyond academics and prepare themselves for the dynamic challenges of the future.
The inaugural session on the 15th July was graced by eminent personalities including Mr. Biswanath Chattopadhyay, CEO, IVL Dhunseri Petrochem Industries Pvt. Ltd.; Mr. Surajit Datta, BU Head – Delivery Head, Financial Services & FinTech, Cognizant; and Mr. Indrajit Kundu, Editor and Chief of the Kolkata Bureau, TV Today Network (India Today & Aaj Tak). Addressing the students, the distinguished guests shared valuable insights on leadership, professional ethics, resilience and lifelong learning.
Over the four days, students participated in an enriching array of sessions covering contemporary and life-enriching themes such as Artificial Intelligence, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Heartfulness, Value-Based Living, Body Fitness, Nutrition and Wellness, Cyber Awareness, Media and Communication, among others. Delivered by accomplished academicians, industry experts, wellness practitioners and professionals from diverse fields, the sessions inspired students to cultivate a balanced approach towards academic, professional and personal success.
A key highlight of the concluding day on 18th July was the Alumni Interactive Session, where successful alumni returned to their alma mater to share their inspiring journeys, career experiences and practical advice with the incoming batch. The interaction offered students an opportunity to connect with accomplished Heritians and gain first-hand perspectives on navigating higher education and professional life.
The programme concluded with a vibrant cultural showcase presented by various student clubs. Enthralling performances featuring music, dance, drama and other creative expressions highlighted the rich cultural diversity and dynamic student life that define the Heritage campus. The performances warmly welcomed the freshers into the Heritage family while encouraging them to actively participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
