Kolkata : Heritage Law College observed Ambedkar Jayanti with a solemn and engaging programme, honouring the legacy of Baba Saheb B. R. Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Constitution of India.
The event commenced with the rendition of Vande Mataram, followed by an inspiring address by Prof. S. S. Chatterji, Director of Heritage Law College. In his address, he highlighted the enduring relevance of Dr. Ambedkar’s vision and the importance of upholding constitutional values in contemporary society.
As part of the celebration, students and faculty participated in a collective reading of the Preamble to the Constitution, reaffirming their commitment to justice, equality, liberty, and fraternity. The programme also featured an inter-semester quiz on the Constitution, governance, and the life and legacy of Baba Saheb, encouraging active student engagement and awareness.
The celebration concluded with the National Anthem, leaving participants inspired to carry forward the ideals and values championed by Dr. Ambedkar.
