Hindusthan Art and Music Society organised Bharat Sanskriti Utsab 2020

Bharat Sanskriti Utsab, the carrier of art and culture has made its successful journey through all these 12 years that is more than an era. This year Bharat Sanskriti Utsab is stepping into its 13th year. It had started its journey exactly 12 years ago from Burdwan district of West Bengal (presently known as Purba Barddhaman). But with the support of all has made Bharat Sanskriti Utsab a great success. Today it is one of the well known cultural festivals & competitions across the globe.

Recently the virtual critique meeting was organized in Kolkata’s “Tridhara Sammelani” club. President of the festival respected Dr. Debashish Kumar, Secretary Pandit Prosenjit Poddar, famous Dancer Guru Aloka Kanungo and Guru Madhumita Roy and about 110 other eminent artists and teachers across the world  were present in the virtual meeting. The president of the festival and member of Kolkata Municipal Corporation’s administration committee, has declared that Bharat Sanskriti Utsab 2020 will be held from 15th December, 2020 to 30th December, 2020 abiding by all the rules and regulations of the State government as well as maintaining the safety measures against COVID-19 in ICCR Auditorium, Kolkata.

The Secretary of Bharat Sanskriti Utsab , Pandit Prosenjit Poddar declared that this year the festival will be held from 10am to 5pm daily between 15th and 30th December, 2020 but there will be some changes in the procedure of the festival. The contestants have to fill up the registration form and send their videos to us. These videos will be displayed on a giant screen to the judges for their scrutiny. Judges will make their decision being present in the auditorium. Moreover, the live telecast of the programme will be telecasted on media so that everyone can take the essence of it.

Eminent dance guru Aloka Kanungo said that daily the festival will take place between the mentioned period . She added, “Maximum 50 audiences will be able to attend the programme and others can watch it live from home. Participants of the festival from out of Kolkata can perform in the auditorium at their own place but they need to use the Banner of the festival that will be provided to them.

One of the other eminent artists Guru Madhumita Roy also said that, like every year this year also the participants will be given certificates and mementos. Cash prize, 12 months scholarship, different other rewards and a chance to visit international cultural festivals will be awarded to the winners of the competition.

Lastly, the Head of the Institute known as Hindusthan Art and Music Society, Pandit Prasenjit Poddar declared that they would help the adversely affected artists due this pandemic situation from their fundraiser. This institute has already made contribution towards the society during this adverse situation. They contributed ration to 3500 needy people and monetary assistance to 200 artists from April to July months this year.
