Chennai : As businesses navigate rapid shifts driven by artificial intelligence, digital transformation, sustainability and evolving global markets, Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS), Chennai, has launched its new Executive MBA (ExMBA) programme aimed at equipping professionals with future-ready leadership and strategic capabilities.
Designed for working professionals, entrepreneurs, startup founders and emerging business leaders, the Hindustan Executive MBA seeks to combine academic rigour with practical industry exposure. The programme will focus on global case studies, business simulations, entrepreneurial immersion, capstone projects and executive networking opportunities to help participants navigate increasingly complex business environments.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. R. Venkatesh, Dean – ExMBA, School of Management, HITS, said: “The business landscape is undergoing rapid transformation driven by artificial intelligence, digitalisation, sustainability and entrepreneurship. The Executive MBA programme has been designed to equip professionals with the leadership capabilities and industry insights required to navigate these changes and create meaningful impact.”
HITS also engaged with the All India Management Association (AIMA) to further strengthen the programme’s industry orientation and relevance.
Beyond the programme launch, HITS actively contributed to discussions on the future of higher education through a panel session titled, ‘What are the reforms needed to foster excellence in education?’
Dr. M.K. Badrinarayanan, Associate Dean, School of Management, HITS, participated alongside academic leaders from across the country and shared perspectives on enhancing employability, strengthening industry-academia collaboration, fostering innovation ecosystems and leveraging technology-enabled learning to make higher education more future-ready.
The event brought together policymakers, industry leaders, academicians and thought leaders to discuss the future of higher education, innovation and leadership.
In addition, HITS received national recognition in the latest The Week-Hansa Research Rankings 2026, where it was ranked No. 10 in India and No. 6 in South India among Private and Deemed Multidisciplinary Universities. The award was presented by Justice D.Y. Chandrachud, Former Chief Justice of India, in the presence of leading educationists and industry representatives.
