Thiruvananthapuram: HLL marked World Heart Day 2025 with a 5-kilometre walkathon organised from its Peroorkada Factory here today, in line with this year’s global theme ‘Don’t Miss a Beat’. Around 250 employees participated in the walkathon, aimed at promoting regular physical activity and heart health awareness.
The programme, inaugurated by Dr. Anitha Thampi, Chairperson and Managing Director, also featured expert sessions on stress management, heart-healthy food awareness, non-fire cooking demonstrations, and free heart check-ups for retired employees.
Directors Ajit N (Marketing) and Remesh P (Finance), along with other senior officers, were present during the occasion. Similar walkathons and awareness initiatives were also organised at HLL’s Kochi, Irapuram, and Kanagala units.
The World Heart Day observance forms part of HLL’s Diamond Jubilee initiatives, reflecting the company’s continued focus on public health, preventive care, and employee well-being.
