Homage to Nanaji, the architect of the path from Gramoday to Rashtroday, enlightened visionary devoted to service of nation – Chief Minister Shri Chouhan

Bhopal:Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan paid tribute to Nanaji Deshmukh on his anniversary. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan garlanded his portrait at the Chief Minister’s residence. Late Shri Nanaji Deshmukh was a social worker. Earlier, he was the leader of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh. Nanaji established the Deendayal Research Institute in 1972 in order to embody the concept of Integral Humanism of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. Throughout his life, he continued to work for the expansion of various projects running under the Deendayal Research Institute. During Atalji’s tenure, the Government of India also awarded him Padma Vibhushan for his exemplary contribution in the fields of education, health and rural self-reliance. In 2019, he was awarded the Bharat Ratna.

Nanaji was born on October 11, 1916 in a town called Kadoli in Hingoli district of Maharashtra. Nanaji devoted his entire life in the service of the nation. Nanaji Deshmukh breathed his last on February 27, 2010, at the age of 95 while staying in India’s first rural university in Chitrakoot. Chitrakoot Rural University was established by Nanaji Deshmukh.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has tweeted that “Many schemes launched by Nana Ji Deshmukh for the empowerment of rural India are living testimony of his service to the nation. Service to the nation and upliftment of rural India will be the true tribute at the feet of Nanaji Deshmukh. Let us all contribute our bit in the new building of India by following his path. We are not for ourselves, but for our loved ones, those who have been oppressed and neglected for centuries. Nanaji was the architect of the path from Gramoday to Rashtraday, a visionary, enlightened person in service of nation. Tremendous respect on the anniversary of ‘Bharat Ratna’ Nanaji Deshmukh ji.
