New Delhi: The Indian Council of Medical Research, ICMR, premier health research institution in the country, has on Monday firmly rejected media reports attributing to its study regarding peak stage of COVID-19 in India. The reports while quoting a study say that the peak stage of COVID-19 in the country has been delayed by the eight-week lockdown and it may now arrive around mid-November.
In a tweet, ICMR said the news reports attributing this study to ICMR are misleading. It clarified that this refers to a non peer reviewed modeling, not carried out by ICMR and does not reflect the official position of ICMR.
