IHCL expands its presence in Chennai with the opening of Ginger Chennai, OMR

CHENNAI: Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, today announced the opening of Ginger Chennai, OMR in Tamil Nadu. The hotel’s lean luxe design philosophy offers guests the opportunity to blend the lines of work and play in the midst of dynamic spaces that boast of a seamless co-existence of contrasts.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, IHCL, said, “Chennai is the most prominent cultural, economic and educational center of South India and IHCL has presence in this key metropolitan city with 11 hotels across brands. The opening of Ginger Chennai, OMR expands our footprint to cater to the ever-growing demand of the IT corridor.”

The 99 room Ginger OMR is strategically located on Old Mahabalipuram Road also known as Rajiv Gandhi Salai, in close proximity to major Tech parks as well as entertainment hubs. The hotel features Qmin, the signature all-day diner offering a mix of global and local cuisines, a state-of-the art meeting area and a fitness centre. It is the ideal destination for both work as well as leisure.

Chennai is the capital of the state of Tamil Nadu, located on the east coast of Bay of Bengal. It is known for its beautiful beaches, historic landmarks, and vibrant culture. It is also an important hub for industries such as automobile manufacturing, information technology, and healthcare.

With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have 11 hotels in Tamil Nadu, including one under development.
