Boghgaya: Reinforcing its commitment to social responsibility and community well-being, Indian Institute of Management Bodhgaya with Pragati, the corporate social responsibility committee, successfully organised a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Awareness and Health Check-up Drive on campus on October 31, 2026.
The initiative was conducted in close collaboration with Mediversal Healthcare and Dhanvantri, the institute’s dedicated medical centre. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and staff, recording a footfall of over 250 and highlighting the campus community’s commitment to health awareness and emergency preparedness through training sessions and a health check-up camp.
The initiative was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Vinita S. Sahay, Director, IIM Bodh Gaya, whose commitment to nurturing socially responsible, mindful, and value-driven leaders continues to shape the institution’s ethos. Bringing this vision to fruition, Pragati Chairperson Prof. Suresh K.G. and Vice-Chairperson Prof. Ajith Tom James led the planning and execution of the drive, ensuring its coordination, inclusivity, and active participation.
Reflecting on the success of the initiative, one of the participants noted the importance of practical preparedness: “What we witnessed today was our campus community taking true ownership of its well-being. Having our medical team and our healthcare partners step up to train everyone ensures that our people aren’t just bystanders during a medical crisis, but capable first responders.” Rather than a standard lecture, the sessions were interactive and scenario-based. Participants practiced compressions on mannequins, learned how to manage panic during a crisis, and coordinated team responses in simulated emergencies
Through this initiative, Pragati continues to advance IIM Bodh Gaya’s commitment to community engagement, health awareness, and social responsibility. The programme underscores the importance of extending learning beyond the classroom and nurturing management professionals who recognise that leadership encompasses not only organisational success but also a commitment to human welfare and the well-being of society.
