New Delhi: India’s domestic coal stock has surged by 26 percent this year to reach 149 million tonnes. Coal Minister Pralhad Joshi in a social media post informed that the country’s production grew by 7.31 percent in April. He also said that the dispatch to power sector has increased by 5.43 percent Year-on-Year. Mr. Joshi also asserted that the country is ready to meet the peak demand, which is expected to rise to 240 Gigawatt during the day and 235 Gigawatt in the evening in the month of June.
